CTY Online Programs courses are offered in individually paced, session-based, and LIVE formats. CTY’s online courses enrich and accelerate academically advanced students in the areas in which they show the strongest abilities and interest.

If you are seeking school credit or placement for your course, you should discuss placement and credit options with your school officials. Determine if you need to take a course approved by NCAA or another accrediting body, and obtain approval from your school prior to enrolling in the course.

Students may enroll at any time during the year and progress at their own pace within their enrollment period, guided by instructors who strive to meet individual needs. Enrollment and tuition are course-based. Students have up to 4.5 months to complete a course that typically takes about 3 months to complete, and up to 9 months to complete a course that typically takes about 6 months to complete. Students set their own course schedule with their instructor’s guidance and may take breaks in the course as needed, if they finish all required coursework by the end date.

These courses have specific start and end dates; students receive a schedule and must meet deadlines for assignments. Tests, if any, are taken according to the course schedule.

CTY Live Interactive Virtual Explorations (LIVE) courses offer bright students advanced learning options in dynamic, web-based classrooms with peers who share their interests. The program’s courses offer a blend of live online instruction and independent learning that includes discussions, class projects, and interactive activities designed to foster community in an online environment.

Students meet weekly to learn and have fun in real time with a diverse group of fellow students who share their interests.
