Emerging Eligibility is a new eligibility level at CTY. It is a heterogenous category of students who show some evidence of advanced ability. Students with Emerging Eligibility are not required to provide test scores to take courses in their eligibility level. CTY is always considering different ways for students to qualify for our programs. For summer 2024 we will offer three Discovery Sampler courses that do not require test scores. We fully expect that students at the CTY-level and Advanced CTY-level will enroll in these courses and instructors will be equipped to work with a more heterogenous group of students than in other CTY courses. At this time, students who complete a Discovery Sampler course and wish to enroll in other CTY online or in-person courses that require test scores must either provide test scores or take a qualifying test.
