Emerging Eligibility is CTY’s identification level for students who have demonstrated advanced academic ability but have not met specific test or score requirements. It is a heterogeneous category of students who show some evidence of advanced ability. Students with Emerging Eligibility, CTY-level Eligibility, and Advanced CTY-level Eligibility can all take courses in the Emerging Eligibility level.
