Students with Emerging Eligibility, CTY-level Eligibility, and Advanced CTY-level Eligibility can all take Discovery Sampler courses. CTY- and Advanced CTY-level Eligibility require specific, qualifying test scores. Emerging Eligibility is for students who have demonstrated advanced academic ability but it does not have specific test or score requirements. Because of the exploratory nature of Discovery Sampler courses, these courses are intended to attract a broader range of students than CTY courses that require test scores.
